Question: dom i use heat with wella midway couture color - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
Because companies change formulations over time, it isn't possible for me to answer this question with 100 percent certainty. When using hair color products, it is vital to follow the manufacturers instructions. To make sure that you are properly using any particular brand of product, the best thing to do is to follow the instructions included with the product. If your package doesn't have instructions, visit the store where you purchased the product to learn more. - posted by Mary G. White

Most beauty supply stores, such as Sally Beauty Supply, carry this type of hair dye. If you would like to purchase your hair dye online, you can find this type at www.goodgoth.com/hairdye.htm. Have fun experimenting with your hair color! - posted by Mary G. White
Question: How to look to look your best on a first date - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
One of the most important things to keep in mind when you want to look your best on a first date is to avoid going overboard. Don't wear too much makeup or clothing that is too flashy. Remember that the person who asked you out found you attractive enough to choose to spend time with you on a date, so he or she doesn't want you to completely change. Spend time pampering yourself before a first date so that your skin and hair look their glowing best. Take a relaxing bath, use a high quality skin moisturizer, and make sure your hair is clean and neat. Choose clothing in a style and color that flatters you, making sure it is appropriate for the occasion. If you wear makeup, make sure it coordinates with your clothing, and don't wear too many cosmetics. It's also important to avoid wearing too much fragrance or cologne. The last thing you want to do is look or smell like you're trying too hard. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: how to mix 1 part haircolor and 2 parts developer - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
If the instructions for the hair color you are using state that you should mix one part hair color to two parts developer, then you should use a 1:2 ratio when combining the color and the developer. If you are using 1/4 cup of hair color, then combine it with 1/2 cup of developer. What matters isnt the quantity you use, because that can vary based on the length and thickness of your hair, but rather that you use twice as much developer as color. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: how can i tell nayeli she is the most beautiful girl i have ever seen ? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
Keep in mind that everyone loves sincere compliments. The best way to tell a girl you like that you think she is beautiful is to state your feelings very plainly and clearly. Simply say, "I think you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." There is no compliment more flattering than that. Keep in mind that compliments must be given freely. You should not expect anything in return when you give a compliment. When you pay someone a compliment, your goal should be to recognize something special about the other person, and to make her feel good about herself. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: how can i do my make up for prom? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
The most common makeup mistake people make when getting ready for special occasions is to go overboard. You might want to do something special for prom, but keep in mind that special doesn't mean more. If you're going to use different products than usual, be sure to try them out before the big day. It's a good idea to try to have a professional makeover, so you can make sure to choose the right colors and learn how to apply them properly. Mary Kay consultants are happy to provide makeovers, as are reps for the various cosmetic lines sold through department stores. Be prepared to share information about the style and type of dress you plan to wear, so that you'll get ideas for using products that coordinate well with your prom outfit. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: how to take care for good and healthy hair growth for the girls of small age - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
The basic principles of taking good care of one's hair are the same regardless of age. It's important to eat a healthy diet, because your hair will not grow if your body is malnourished. It's also important to trim your hair regularly, to keep split ends from giving your hair a frizzy disheveled look. The question of what type of hair care products you should use and how often you should wash your hair really depends on the type and texture of hair you have. You should use a shampoo and conditioner formulated for your hair type (oily, normal, or dry). Avoid excessive exposure to heat, whether via sun exposure or through the use of dryers or curlers. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: How to color hair - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
There are several different kinds of hair color products, each of which requires somewhat different procedures. If you've never colored your hair before, it might be a good idea to visit a professional salon to have your hair colored. If you really want to try it yourself, go to a beauty supply store rather than a supermarket or drug store to purchase a coloring kit. The employees in a beauty supply store are likely to be trained in helping customers select products that are right for their color and texture of hair, and will be able to provide useful "how-to" tips and advice. - posted by Mary G. Question: i tried dying my hair blond the other day but it turned it a bright orange color.so i went to a salon and she turned it almost white.......is it ok to dye ie back to brown - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
I can certainly sympathize with your dilemma. I once ended up with bright orange hair after putting "Sun-In" on my naturally red hair. However, it's very bad for your hair to put too many chemicals on it at one time. It sounds like you have actually bleached your hair twice within a day or two and are now questioning whether or not you can try to dye it a darker color. I hesitate to advise you to add more chemicals to your hair at this point in time. It's a good idea to consider visiting a beauty supply store to inquire about natural solutions to your problem, then you can give your hair a chance to recover before dying it again so quickly. While you may be very unhappy with the way your hair looks right now, if you damage it further, it will take even longer for your hair to return to normal. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: Why is it impossible to find clothes that fit my WHOLE body? I am a fairly thin woman (size 7/8), but I also have a natural large chest (DD36), which makes it impossible to find a dress, shirt, or bikini that fits my chest AND the rest of my torso. It would be nice to not have to get my clothing tailor made, which is very expensive. Why is it that clothing companies assume that thin women dont have large breasts, whether or not they are natural? - posted by Angelbabe415 Reply

Replies:
That is a really good question, and is a problem that many women experience. It is, unfortunately, very common for women to be different sizes on the top and on the bottom, whether they are thin or not. The best way to compensate for differing sizes is to try to purchase separates as often as possible. Bathing suits can be particularly challenging, which is why a number of companies sell tops and bottoms separately. This allows customers to end up with custom fit without having to pay tailoring rates. For example, Michael Kors bikini tops and bottoms are sold separately in department stores. You can also order separates online from www.brazilian-bikinis.org. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: How long after i cut my hair do i have to wait before i color it? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

You can color your hair immediately after cutting it. It's acually a very good idea to get your hair trimmed right before you color it, so that it's in the best possible shape when the color is applied. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: who is the salesman of shoes, hair supplies, makep & clothing? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

If you are looking for a single retailer where you can purchase all of these types of items, there are several choices. Target and Wal Mart, for example, sell moderately priced and inexpensive lines of shoes, hair supplies, makeup and clothing. You can also find these types of items at a variety of department stores, such as Kohl's, Belk, Dillards, Sak's, Nordstrom's, Macy's, and others. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: which color of hair is fashion - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
Many different hair colors are considered fashionable. When thinking about coloring your hair, the most important consideration is to select a shade that will be appropriate for your skin tone. A hair color that looks wonderful on one person might be very unattractive on another. When selecting a hair color, it's a good idea to consider how appropriate it is for your lifestyle and how easy or difficult it will be to maintain. For example, if you have a job that requires working in a business office, don't go too far with unusual colors. If you have dark brown hair, bleaching it blonde might be very difficult to accomplish and maintain. Many times people with red hair who try to go blonde find themselves with orange hair instead of the fashionable effect they wanted. - posted by Mary G. White

Question: whut is a good hiar coler for me - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

When thinking about what color to dye your hair, there are many important factors to consider, including your skin tone, age, hair texture, etc. It's impossible for anyone to tell another person what hair color might be best for that person without seeing him or her, or having a good idea of what he or she looks like. If you plan to have a professional color your hair, visit your favorite salon and ask for advice. If you plan to do it yourself, go to a professional beauty supply store and talk with one of the sales associates about your needs. These individuals will likely be able to help you select a hair color that will be flattering to your overall appearance. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: Last time I dyed my hair some of it broke off at the top and is thinner at the front. So I've given it a rest and left it for a couple of months, but now my roots are really bad and it looks awful(my hair is dyed blonde on top and brown underneath) I'm thinking of either just touching up the blonde roots and leaving the dark underneath as it is, or dying it all brown (which I don't really want to do) which would be less stressful for my hair and how can I limit any more breakage? grateful for any advice you can give me.... - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
It sounds like your hair has some pretty serious damage. Until your hair recovers, you should cut back as much as possible on any kind of chemical treatments. Go with the option that will be the least stressful on your hair. Even though you might not be thrilled with the idea of dying it brown, it sounds like that might be the best thing for your hair's health. Then you don't have to worry about root touch ups for a while. This will give your hair a chance to grow in without being subject to the stress of bleaching right away. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: hair extensions - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
Hair extensions can be a great way to enjoy the look and feel of long hair without having to wait for your hair to grow or take care of really long hair. Many actresses and singers wear hair extensions on a regular basis. You can buy relatively inexpensive fun extensions in department and beauty supply stores, or you can get really high quality extensions custom made just for you. The best quality extensions look real in many cases. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: I had long hair a couple of years ago. Cut it all off and donated it. Now I want my long hair back. What can I do to help it along? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
Growing back long hair is a slow process. The most important thing to do when letting your hair grow back is to make sure that you keep it healthy. To reduce the risk of damage, it's important to avoid using harsh chemicals, styling aids, and heat on your hair. As counter-intuitive as it sounds, it's also important to trim your hair regularly when letting it grow out. You need to catch split ends and damage as soon as they start, to avoid damage spreading up through the length of your hair. It's a good idea to get the damaged ends trimmed once per quarter. You might get frustrated at times while waiting for your hair to grow, but if your goal is to have long hair again, it will be worth the wait. - posted by Mary G. White
Question: When ever I wear high heels they rub my ankles raw in less than an hour..and my ankles bleed all over my shoes...so painful?? I ususally (but not always) buy my shoes from aldo...is this a shoe quality, or something else? if you have overcome this issue...please share your advice - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
First, are you asking about ankles or heels? Most high heels should not bother your ankles. If they are, look for a different style. Next, have you tried different brands and styles of shoes? Some shoes and feet don't match, and certain shoes are more comfortable for others. Next time you are ready to buy shoes, try them on and walk around the store. Ask yourself how your feet feel? Compare the heel height with what you normally wear. Consider trying a shorter heel. If you are buying heels with straps, try finding something that doesn't touch your ankles. Don't be afraid to ask for assistance. The shoe salesman or woman should be able to suggest a pair of heels that will be comfortable to wear. Also keep in mind that you should gradually break in a pair of shoes. Start by wearing your heels for 10 minutes at a time and gradually increase the time you are wearing (and walking in) them. - posted by Debbie LaCroix
Question: How much hair color should I mix if the directions state to mix "one part of hair color to two part developer"? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
This is actually a math question. These days most hair color manufacturers are trying to make DIY easier with the measurements already contained within their formula bottles. It sounds as though you have discovered one that is still a bit of a challenge. The key with hair color success is to follow the instructions exactly. When it says "mix one part of hair color to two parts of developer" it is similar to baking or cooking. You will need to divide the total into three parts – with one part being the color and two parts being the developer. Depending on the total quantity you need for the amount of hair you have, you will need to divide that total into three parts. For simplicity sake, let's say you need one cup of total coloring solution. You will then need 1/3 cup of the actual color solution and 2/3 of a cup of the developer. This will give you one cup total and one part hair color and two parts developer. - posted by Debbie Vasen
Question: My friend has blonde hair, she wanted to dye it brown but it turned out to be red, then she went with a darker brown and it turned out black. What does she need to do to get it black to blonde? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
Going from Black to Blonde is a process. First, have her go to a good hair dresser. She may be able to strip it or gradually lighten it. Tell your friend not to attempt to do anything herself. The best way to go back to blonde while keeping your hair healthy is to let it grow out. Maybe suggest a cute short hair cut so it will grow back faster. Best of luck. - posted by Debbie LaCroix
Question: how do you use wella hair dyeing products at home? (negro/black)? - posted by 10.0.0.7 Reply

Replies:
Wella's Color Charm Permanent Haircolor is formulated for easy at-home use. This color is long-lasting and ammonia-free, and using it is simple. In addition to the haircolor, you'll also need a bottle of Color Charm Developer, a pair of plastic gloves, and a mixing bottle. Get started by shampooing and towel-drying your hair prior to applying the color. Next, you'll mix the color and developer in the mixing bottle. Wella uses a 1:2 mixing ratio, meaning for every 1 part of color used in your mix, 2 parts of developer are added. If you have grays or fading roots, apply the mixture first to the roots, allowing it to rest of 25 minutes. Then apply the remaining color to the rest of the hair. Leave in for 20 additional minutes, for a total of roughly 45 minutes of coloring time. Rinse until the water runs clear. Color Charm is considered a great value for the cost: Each tube has enough product for two applications. The developer is available in a jumbo size, which is an excellent investment if you plan to use Color Charm regularly. -- posted by TSharma - posted by 10.0.0.7
Question: My hair is naturally blonde, but as it grows in there are dark roots initially. I don't like this look, but also didn't want to bleach my hair. Do you have any ideas on how to even out the color? - posted by Jrose Reply

Replies:
Hi Jrose-- What color are you currently using on your hair? Who is dying it for you? Without all the details, I recommend cutting it short and dye it your natural color. You could also try frosting or highlighting your hair so that the dark roots blend in. In cases where you are unsure of what to do, it is money well spent visiting a professional beautician to get her advice. She will be able to find you a look that will grow with you. - posted by Debbie LaCroix
