Beating The Bosses
Your first tip is to work on beating the bosses. Here are some hints to help you.
Vile
Vile is the first boss in the game. Dodge his attacks and use the Charged X-Buster gun. Aim for his head instead of his armor.
Storm Eagle
This boss is as easy to beat as riding a bicycle. Avoid his swoop attacks with the dash-dodge, and when he sends wind at you, fight back with the dash. Use your X-Buster to fight back.
Chill Penguin
Avoid his shots by staying up on the walls. The charged X-Buster is enough to defeat him.
Flame Mammoth
If you have the Storm Tornado weapon, use it and easily defeat this boss. If you don’t have the Storm Tornado, you will have to dodge his fire and use the dash-jump to clear the blobs. Use the X-Buster, charging it whenever you have the opportunity.
Spark Mandrill
This is actually one of the easiest bosses to beat. Shoot him with the Shotgun Ice weapon, and repeat each time he unfreezes until you win.
Armored Armadillo
The first attack he will use is the Rolling Shield 1. When he is done with this attack, he will stop in the center of the room. Wait until he stops before trying to fire at him with the X-Buster. Climbing the walls will not allow you to avoid his Rolling Shield attacks, avoid them by jumping and dashing.
Launch Octopus
This guy is easy to beat if you have the Rolling Shield. Use it repeatedly while avoiding his attacks to win. If you don’t have enough shields, switch to the Electric Spark or Storm Tornado.
Boomerang Kuwanger
The way to beat this boss is to avoid his dashing and his boomerang. Just keep jumping over these attacks and fire back until you win.
Sting Chamelon
This boss can be difficult, but victory is easier if you have earned the boomerang weapon from Kuwanger. Jump over his attacks and dash to avoid his tongue. Fire the boomerang until the boss is defeated.
Megaman Maverick Hunter Tips: Heart Tanks
Staying alive is an essential element in the game. To help your character survive attacks, there is a heart tank on each level. Retrieve the tank and your life-bar will be larger. This is one of the better Megaman Maverick Hunter tips.
Chill Penguin Level
Go to the top of the caves and use the flame thrower to melt the igloos. The heart is inside the last igloo.
Flame Mammoth Level
Use the Ice Shotgun to freeze the lava, allowing you to walk on it. Go underneath the platforms after clearing the miners to find the heart.
Boomerang Kuwanger Level
Climb to the top of the outside wall to find the heart. Then use the Boomerang to retrieve it.
Sting Chameleon Level
Go down the hole before entering the cave in this level. Using your upgraded boots will allow you to kick through the walls to find the heart.
Spark Mandrill Level
Look for a ladder that leads downward, but don’t use this ladder. Instead, go up the wall above the ladder until you see the heart. Then use the Boomerang to retrieve it.
Storm Eagle Level
The heart is easy to get on this level. Just go to the top of the escalators, then dash to the left to get the heart.
Armored Armadillo Level
On this level, you will first need to fight the second “plower” which can be defeated using the Fire Wave. Once this is done, then find a tunnel and go up until you see the tower.
Launch Octopus
To get the heart, there is a lot you must accomplish first. On the boat, use the third air jet to reach the top of the boat. Then destroy the boat. Stay on the boat as it is going down and then proceed to the right. There will be a room with a big snake. After defeating the snake, the heart can be found off to the right.
